It calms the mind, provides mental clarity, and helps us in decision-making. Butter jade is said to rid us of negative passions such as selfishness, envy and greed, as it turns negative energy into positive force. It is believed to promote compassion, kindness, and peace. Butter jade is also thought to help us remember and resolve dreams.

Coral is the skeleton of marine creatures that live in colonies and support a varied ecosystem. According to National Geographic and other sources, although the corals cover less than 1% of the ocean, they support about 25% of marine life. Coral colonies mostly get their nutrients from the algae that live on their surface. As the algae get the nutrients from the sun, they pass that energy onto the coral reef. Corals come in a variety of colors, including white, pink, red, and even blue. Because of oceanic pollution, environmental changes, and overuse, the coral reefs are being depleted, and much of the corals are bleached, coral is often dyed to give it the highly sought after red color. Coral, with its harmonious ecosystem teaches us that we are all interconnected and a part of a world community. It is believed to instill wisdom, promote optimism, and bring inner peace and harmony to the wearer. It is thought to calm and heal emotions, relieve stress, and stave off depression and melancholy. Coral is thought to be a protective stone. It is especially believed to be a protector of children. Coral is one of the birthstones for the month of October, and it is associated with the Zodiac signs of Taurus and Pisces. It is given as a gift for the 35th wedding anniversary.
