These are pewter butterfly charms on surgical steel French hooks. The butterfly charms measure approximately 17mm wide by 21mm long, or approximately 0.67 inches wide by 0.83 inches long. The earrings hang approximately 1.5 inches long from the top of the ear wires.

Pewter is a soft metal alloy mainly comprised of tin, with copper, antimony, and other elements added for strength. Usually, pewter contains 85-99% tin. It may sometimes contain trace amounts of lead, and therefore, it is not suitable for children. Pewter is usually a silver or antiqued silver color, and it does not oxidize or tarnish easily.
